Overview

A reservoir lining is a system, not a roll of sheet. The sheet only performs if the panel layout matches the tank geometry, the seams are welded to a checked procedure, and the anchor trench is detailed before excavation finishes. We supply the sheet with a panel layout drawing and welding parameters, and we can review your tank dimensions before production so the panels arrive in the order they are installed.

Sheet is produced from virgin HDPE with carbon black and UV stabiliser in the outer plies, in smooth or textured finish. Textured sheet is used on batter slopes where friction matters, smooth sheet on floors and covers. Thickness runs 0.5 to 2.5 mm, width to 8 m, which reduces the seam length on large tanks considerably.

What it does in the field

  • Wide panels, fewer seams

Widths to 8 m cut seam length by a third on a typical farm tank, and every metre of seam not welded is a leak not risked.

  • Panel layout before production

We draw the panel plan from your tank dimensions and label each roll in installation order, so the site work is sequence, not puzzle.

  • UV-stabilised outer plies

Carbon black and stabiliser in the exposed layers protect the sheet where it is left uncovered on the batter.

  • Welding parameters supplied

Wedge and hot-air weld settings are issued with the shipment, so the installer works to a specified procedure rather than trial and error.

  • Textured where friction matters

Textured grades hold on slopes and under soil cover, which is what stops the sheet sliding during backfill.

Grades available

01

0.5–0.75 mm

Small farm ponds, temporary storage and biogas covers where the head of water is low.

02

1.0–1.5 mm

The standard range for farm water reservoirs and lined tanks up to 5 m depth.

03

2.0–2.5 mm

Large reservoirs, steep batters and sites with rocky subgrade where puncture risk is higher.

04

Textured surface

Both faces or one face textured to hold friction on slopes and under cover material, preventing slip during installation.

  • Effluent and slurry lagoons
  • Water treatment and settling tanks
  • Landfill and containment cells

Packing & loading

Rolls are core-wound, wrapped in opaque film to protect the UV face, and labelled with thickness, width, length, panel number and installation sequence. A panel layout drawing and welding parameters are issued as a PDF with each order.

Questions buyers ask

1.0–1.5 mm is the normal range for a 4 m tank with a prepared sand subgrade. Go to 2.0 mm where the subgrade is rocky or the batter is steep.

Yes. Send the tank dimensions, batter slope and anchor trench detail and we return a panel drawing with roll labels in installation order.

Wedge welding for the main seams and extrusion welding for details and repairs. We issue the parameters for both with the shipment.

We do not send installation crews, but we can recommend contractors in several markets and we review weld test results if you send them.
